Day 1: Eia Asen: 
‘Mentalisation-Inspired Systemic Work with Children and Families: Innovative Concepts and Practices
This day provides a framework for working systemically with families, with a special focus on techniques and concepts derived from mentalisation-based therapeutic approaches. A step-by-step model is introduced on how to design interventions which aim to enhance the mentalizing capacities of children and their parents, as well as addressing the family and wider social system.

Day 2: Eia Asen and Peter Fonagy: ‘Tackling Family Violence and Relational Trauma’.  Innovative concepts of violence and trauma are presented, based on a combination of psychoanalytic, systemic and attachment-based models – and how these have been integrated into a coherent mentalization-based approach. This will be illustrated by a whole range of different clinical examplesand interventions when working with children, adults, couples and families.

Day 3: Eia Asen and Peter Fonagy: ‘Enhancing Epistemic Trust in Children and their Families’ Social Environments: Co-creating Mentalizing Systems’.  This day focuses on pragmatic work in social settings, be that schools, in neighbourhoods, with cultural and friendship networks as well as with professional systems. The overall aim is to demonstrate how the process of ‘Learning from Trusted Sources’ creates new opportunities for imaginative clinical work in a whole range of different contexts.
